We talk about bench work here a lot and people often associate it with low end. I just got an email about a bench manager job in NYC for $180K. Not too shabby.

That's about 3.5 years of teaching in Georgia with my Master's degree.

Closer to five years of teaching in Texas, but no Masters.

In NY, all teaching has a Masters.

Oh I get these every day. That's not something that I want. If I was okay with $180K as a bench manager, I'd have been all set long ago.

Well some kind of manager. I'm not a bench guy, my offers are 99% IT, not bench. That was an exaggeration. If I was okay with $180K as an IT manager, I'd have been set long ago I should say.

Ok. N00b question, but since there's easy confusion with terms, a phone feature that says "12 VoIP accounts" should mean the phone can be configured to register 12 unique extensions, correct? In Yealink's product video the T42G "supports 3 SIP accounts." The video was made in 2013, so perhaps his information is out of date, or am I misunderstanding SIP account vs VoIP account?

                          Context: Datasheet for Yealink T42G.

It means that the PHONE can connect to three different PBXs or whatever has a SIP trunk.

Ah, I see. Then between three potential PBX connections, up to 12 extensions can be registered, correct?

I'm not quite sure what that wording means. Three SIP connections is common.

Just occured to me, I could look into refurbs of the phones I'm considering in order to save some money purchasing test phones.

Gotta love when a newbie posts on SW and says he knows nothing about what he is doing and gets all kinds of bad advice and it turns out that he just didn't want to admit that he knew what he was doing and actually knew far more than everyone that posted in the thread trying to deceive him. Basically he just wanted to double check that he had everything right, and he did. He was spot on in every aspect. And every single post tried to trick him into something totally bad.
