why's that? did you really want to hear that Netflix now had ads?
-
@Dashrender because the ad was setup in a stupid way not because they now have ads. Ads are everywhere so it doesn't bother me.

But it wasn't an ad - it was part of the show.
Kinda like the fake ads that are in RoboCop, only done in such a way that Scott was unable to tell it was a fake ad (or not an ad at all) until much closer inspection.
-
@Dashrender Yes, I understood that. I was just reacting to Scott's comment not the actual ad... anyway is a mute point now...

Don't deal with the customer, hang up. Make someone else do it. PTO is your time off.
Unless you're being paid through the nose right now to help this customer, they can pound sand.
-
feeling really tired....
-
@DustinB3403 In this case my customer is my employer so yeah that goes out of the window, specially in the medical field...

Let the person on the table die, not your problem. The business should have coverage so you can enjoy your time off.

Some company around here offers service to cover these situations... actually, that's companies... bidding war?

Just leave your phone turned off on vacation. It's vacation, they can't ask you to work.
-
@scottalanmiller I wish, I keep on recommending multiple times for new IT staff or coverage by MSPs that I know and I get turned down...is frustrating

Non of this matters. You are on vacation, you are not on call. There are labor laws on this.

Turn off the phone. Or ignore the calls. If they turn you down for coverage that's on them not on you.
-
Yeah PTO is not just "time not in the office" its time that you are working. Its a part of your pay, and there are very strict laws about being able to use it, along with conditions of what pay you should be receiving if you're forced to work on your vacation.
It's on the business to get the issue(s) resolved while you're away.

Your job is done. You told them to get coverage. COmpanies are available for coverage. But they are not doing their jobs properly because you are willing to give up your vacation to protect them from their mistakes. That's not good for you, not healthy for the profession. Truly... shut off the phone.
