That depends on your job/career/business. But generally speaking, I agree. Probably 15-20 years there will be no more Windows client OS.

Well, my need for Windows is lessening, I most do web related tasks and only keep windows for AOE IIBut even that is limited right now

So while driving to drop off the car last night at the airport, I totally got passed on the road by @art_of_shred and @Minion-Queen - how random.

Trying to use SW from a Chromebook really doesn't work, they put overlay ads on so much of the screen that you can't see a single response at a time, the available screen real estate is so small.

Going for a Mtn Bike ride, Yard Work, and probably the store. Dunno if I will have enough time. -

I was going to ask how you were planning to get from NY to TX, if you would fly or drive -
Pretty sure the comment about tripping around the barn answered it. Driving - Not sure your plans - as you'll have the whole family (I expect) - but you are more than welcome to stop by on the way if you wish.

Just found out that I'm getting a "new" desktop to take to my Texas office. That's exciting, I've been laptop only for a few years now.
Whatcha Getting Desktop wise?
Slightly older Shuttle mini desktop. Don't have the details. Has Windows 10 on it, but that'll be replaced, of course. openSuse Tumbleweed or Korora. Since it is a desktop, maybe multi-boot.
Just dual booted an old laptop - It has :face_palm_tone3: Vista on it, but thus far it is working nicely. I may make the NTG Desktop Dual tomorrow if I have time and run it a few days next week.
Issues with the Dual boot... Running GPARTED isn't the issue - I'm able to free up about 40GBs, I could free up another 20GB or so if I took the VMs off. But running the installer - it just doesn't like the Drive.
Still trying.

Essentially always drive, because we are busily moving our stuff down there. We always need a van load of stuff every time that we go.

Why are you dual booting and not just running a VM?
