The responses here are great. I can't believe that CompTIA themselves opened this can of worms: https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1990752-what-did-a-do-for-you
"I will say that it opened my eyes when other people I worked with really struggled to pass the test. Some people had to cross train because they failed it 3 times. I even tried helping them study and they still couldn't pass the A+ exam. "
I had to be A+ certified for CARF Accredidation and I took both tests within two hours of each other and passed. I'm not the brightest crayon in the box either so that goes to show you how worthless the exams really are.
@wirestyle22 -- See? Even crayons have their uses!

Reading about virtual hosts in Apache.

Just started reading a chapter on permissions in linux

Still tinkering with NextCloud and Deck. Considering upgrading my 11.03 instance to the 12 beta.

Haven't gotten into the nuts and bolts yet but I'd imagine both

Busily loading my iPad with ebooks for the flight tomorrow.

Building a SaltStack install in VB to test with my windows 10 desktop and see what it does and how I might make use of it.
Will also look into configuring my mac as a salt minion and see what can be done there.

I suspect that Macs are easy to handle, but I've not tried it.

Testing out Korora after speaking with SAM. Tried two different downloads and three different ISO to USB programs and all failed.
Re-downloaded and used RUFUS and we are up and running on the LIVE USB.
Looks nice thus far. Though the switch to turn the mouse off doesn't work so I keep moving the mouse as I type.

And on PM he mentioned that he's using Cinnamon. Same setup that @JaredBusch and @Dominica are using, I believe.
-
Sadly, for me, my Korora setup is limited to XFCE.

Oh, doesn't install directly on the laptop so I run it in a KVM VM. The lack of GPU means no Cinnamon, or it would run like crap.

Look at this luldicrous Navigation Pane folder spacing in Outlook 2016. Cant be changed. 2016 Left, 2010 right. Apparently 2013 is the same as 2016. It's like a double spaced word document.
-
The style isn't bad, just not a good use of spacing.

any time someone uses the word ludicrous i think of darth helmet

Begun wrestling with Impero on behalf of a school. Broken safeguarding software all year so far. Love sending snotty emails!
