Even the cool teachers were pissed off at me for the rest of the year. I didn't get it

But a school will fold to public pressure far more easily than a Wall St. company. If a few parents made a commotion about it, there was a chance of expulsion. I come from one of those shitty towns where that could happen.

You have to understand there was a lot of teachers that didn't like me because I would never do my homework and generally didn't care but still got good grades. The resentment just built over time until this happened and I guess they felt like they could finally let loose. Like I said, super uptight

It is? I live in a rural (oddly religious) area of the north east. Even here sexual education and prophylactic were very important in highschool. Probably because we had a bizarre number of teenage pregnancies.

That's not a reason. Lying to you like that would be more protection against expulsion. A court would have a field day with that.
