Don't know if that is available for Linux (yet), but have you tried AnyDesk? AFAIK from a group of former TeamViewer devs.

I've used Anydesk recently... It's okay, but not as polished as teamviewer

I would ignore it for a while, but it not only cracked the screen, the home button is permanently depressed.

It is, I'm using it. Teamviewer is available for nearly any Linux system.

TeamViewer is available on Linux (just about ever variant) but it has the same limitations as the Windows version.

                              Expect there's no UAC 😉

Does UAC trigger with the client? I've not seen it come up. And there still is SELinux.

                                  Luckily, just a screen replacement.

I was mostly worried that the hit took out something behind with it completely smashing the home button so far down.

It's amazing how resilient they are.
