Just installed 10GbE SFP cards in 10 Z440s and racked them. Thankfully don't have to do this hardly ever.
Are you a bench tech now
Ha no. Sadly the engineer's design workstations fall under our responsibilities. The corporate IT guys don't touch any of the design workstations (or any of the engineering stuff really), so when we get new ones in we have to rack them.
But according to Scott, pretty much anyone doing work in the DC, moving servers, replacing drives, etc is a bench tech - I'm I'm just chatting to chat..

Been watching live posting both here and on another community and noticed that while both are slow, this one has had about a dozen posts, several seriously technical while they just got their first which was a completely meaningless and useless post on a five year old zombie thread that made no sense.

Is that the reason our Zombie Otter thread came back to life yesterday?

It appears that the LAN issue that my home PC is experiencing is router based.
Linux Lappy can't connect to LAN either but can connect to WLAN... Weird. second (modem/)router to do this in two months... well, this one is still yet to be confirmed. Have to reboot it yet and Mrs nadnerB is watching catch up TV -

lol, yeah but they don't do ADSL modem/routers.
I don't really want multiple devices that Mrs nadnerB would have to turn on to get the connect to the Internet via WiFi or to get the desktop connected.Simple is good but a more complex setup might be unavoidable.
I think my PC part replacement project has just suffered scope creep to include network components

I'm trying to clone a larger dynamic windows disk with multiple partitions to a clean SSD using clonezilla.
