What Are You Doing Right Now

So if you want to run Gnome 3 on your Chromebook, you need to do this. If you don't, after you exit the DE in the chroot and try to enter again it's just blank.
enter chroot (sudo enter-chroot -n trusty)
edit /etc/default/locale file (it didn't exist for me)
put the following two lines in this file. Log out and then "startgnome"LANGUAGE=en LANG="en_US.utf8"

@johnhooks How is the performance? Fast, slow?

Pretty quick. I have the Toshiba Chromebook 2 with a dual core Celeron and 4GB RAM. Not sure how performance would be on ARM and less RAM.

@johnhooks Good to know. Thanks.

I just did an in place upgrade from 8.1 to 10 on my main desktop.
Flawless so far, everything works.
Wish mine would have been that simple. I have an add on usb3 card that refused to work at first, then just started working out of the blue, no change that I could see besides some updates.
-
@travisdh1 This desktop is loaded with all kinds of odd software. So I deliberately held off on the upgrade until now.
No glitches yet. Maybe I'll get bitten by a few.

In all honesty, it's the smoothest transitions between major releases I can remember, at least on a desktop.

That just happened to me with my led controller arduino that I have in my arcade stick
Stick was made by www.jasenscustoms.com to give credit for it!
Custom art was done by hibachifinal on the SRK forums. It's the highest quality arcade stick I have ever seen and I go to tournaments for Street Fighter often.

Just had a giant millipede in our game room. In getting him outside we literally scared the crap out of him. Ewww.

I've been thinking of building myself an arcade stick/cabinet. That is really cool!

Thanks! I was researching everything intending on building my own as well but the guy (Jasen) who built it is a nuclear engineer for the Navy. I just couldn't beat his stick, there is no way. I wish I had it with me right now to show you how unbelievably clean the internal cabling is. It's crazy. Metal body too.

Huh, I went to grad school with a nuclear engineer from the Navy, he was interested in old school gaming too.
The metal body is nice. I was thinking of doing mine in clear acrylic or plexiglass. That black metal finish is super clean though.

There is clear plexi on the bottom that exposes the internal components. It's honestly perfect imho. All Sanwa buttons and stick as well.

I've never played it other than like 10 minutes of XCOM Terror From the Deep when I was a kid.
