What Are You Doing Right Now
-
Had a quite nice weekend with the family. I've been reading like a mad dog over the last week or so, so I haven't been at my computer much outside of work.
I just finished "The Songmaker" trilogy by Elizabeth Baxter. It was an excellent read. It's more fantasy, so be warned! I also just started reading the first three "Secrets of the Imortal Nicholas Flammel" book series too. I'm on the second book in that trilogy.
We went to an Aviation Museum this weekend -- they had a Winter Wonderlandtype thing, which essentially a mini-carnival at the museum. It was a lot of fun though. I can't wait to get the kid back to the museum again.

Just got into work - on a half day today, did an hour in the gym downstairs before coming to my desk too, good times! Now filtering tickets!
Did some photo editing this weekend, and played GTA and CS:GO

I know, that's nuts! He has known me as working for NTG always. He has no memory of me before joining here.

Finally got around to figuring out how to make visualizations with Kibana. I was just using the discovery section to read logs before now.

Just heard from people over at Change that RackSpace has run out of nodes and cannot provision more capacity. Whoops.

A case of the sales team being too good?

I got my SW PMs down to a fewer than 20, which means that they fit on a single page now. And all of the ones that are left are ones that I need to maintain for reference reasons (they have information in them that I don't want to lose.) Nothing more requiring follow up and now I can, I hope, keep on top of new ones as they come.

I had the impression that using email as a place to store important or reference information was a bad idea..
I say that,.. but I find that I still do so. There are over 4,460 emails in my Gmail account....

A paltry 3,328 in my work email.

I'm at 29,314 in my primary Gmail account... 137 in my work (but I just started here 2 weeks ago).
