I started testing it this week and plan to use it next week to give it a good run through. So far, I like it for what it is... A very basic, simple task manager where I can put tasks into "buckets" and assign them if necessary. Free is in my budget as well, so win/win.

Free if you have O365, right?

At least certain plans, yes. We are on E3 and it just showed up. Not sure which plans get it.

I meant that you have to have some level of O365 first.

Not like it is just totally free.

Right, we have business essentials which costs 5 bucks a month, and we have Planner. And email, and share point. All for 5 bucks.

Is it an actual app? I was thinking it was just online.

No it's online they just call all the elements as apps like mail, SharePoint, calendar, people etc

As far as I know it's just online. I went to the site directly and then it showed up in my tiles online. Definitely a steal at 5 bucks.

                          SaaS. Still an app.

Wow, this is included with the $5 package? I would not have guessed. Doesn't look like the biggest ticket item, but still. That's a great deal.

I know this is an older topic, but we're migrating to O365 Business Essentials tomorrow, which includes access to Microsoft Planner. I'm thinking there are at least a few folks here who will benefit from it but would love to hear how people are using it (if anyone here has been).
