For our environment it cost roughly 45K to migrate all data out of our third party Exchange server. This include 5 years worth of compliance achived data.

Why so expensive? Do you need to migrate the archive data? Can you leave it where it is until it expires?

@scottalanmiller What are you using for company email archiving? I no longer have a need for a solution that records up to 10 years, but always curious what others use.

We use all integrated with O365 these days.

      Check out Waterford Technologies.

Outlook/OWA - maybe simply because I've used them for so long. Familiarity doesn't always breed contempt.

Although I don't believe you are completely out of the woods just because you have a business Agreement (BA) with a provider you use that is housing Personal Health Information (PHI) - in fact I'm pretty sure that I'm suppose to request a result of their own audit to ensure they are doing what they are suppose to be doing.. only after collecting that yearly (though how I'm suppose to know it's valid is beyond me) would I be close to be indemnified.

That's possible, back when I was doing HIPAA all the time that was not the case but it does get updated regularly.

Knowing that it is valid is likely none of your concern. You can't know that audits are valid more or less by definition. You'd need the auditor to be audited and that auditor audited and so on and so forth.

I have Office 2010 and it didn't 'connect' on mine either. the user will have either 2010 or 2007.

I did remember something about open,. so I was able to File, Open, and go that route... Just seems odd that it was there, and then it dropped.

This does not impact my email as our company is on Office 365, but I have a number of clients with SBS 2008 still. That runs Exchange 2007 and now I cannot check the admin account natively. Grrrr.

Start really selling O365 to your customers. It benefits both them and you

Wow...thanks for the assist. One must remember to read. Sigh.

So I found out that the @domain was not correct -> fail!
Adding @domain to existing (from people or public group) causes the rule to be read as this person AND the domain which => fail!

So I removed the person and added the correct domain as per @Carnival-Boy and ta-da it works like it should.

I have been using Outlook since 2000 and never have created a blank rule like @Carnival-Boy suggested. It was probably the first time I saw Stay Organized or Stay up to date in the Rules Wizard too! I have always right clicked an email to create a rule!

Thanks again on the assist. I can now trim down my rules.

Office 2013 is slower. It just is. You have moved from a Windows native app to a web app. They don't tell you this anywhere but look closely. Office 2013 is actually running in a frameless browser.

Are you sure on that? I just took a stroll through my office directory and found all the appropriate DLL files and such that would go along with a regular program. Outlook still has all the native quirks, features, and errors that wouldn't be part of a web app.

The interface is running in the browser. It still has some hooks because lots of stuff needs the DLLs. But the part that you see is all in a frameless browser. Lots of applications run this way, it is a lot of Microsoft's vision for the future and makes sense for portability and hostability.
