Wifi as WAN

How expensive is that device?
-
Not your full solution. You will not be able to use both phones at the same time as stated.

Oh, I thought that he wanted to just be able to use one or the other at any given time, but not both at the exact same time.
Did I misunderstand that?
-
Either or both was stated

Just realized that
-
Oh both at once? Like load balanced? That will be a lot harder.

No, your right, only one at a time, but the transition has to be seamless. (Non-technical users)
You have to be able to use ether phone without having to change anything.
-
Oh that will not be easy. In theory the bridging AP could be looking for either one and have the credentials ready to go for either. But if the SSIDs change, passwords change or anything like that this will quickly become very difficult to use.
-
Not possible unless you do both simultaneous.
-
They might really need to cut some corners here, but I doubt this will come out feeling seamless in the end.
-
What about 2 of the Travel routers, both broadcasting the same SSID?
-
The Travel Router locks on the MAC Address, so that's not going to work for 2 phones.

Seems like that would work.

Doh!
-
One solution would be a Edge Router X, configured with 2 WAN's each connected to a Ethernet to WiFi bridge.
-
Yes, that should work, but you are back to paying not just for a bridge, but for TWO bridges.
-
This s project can work fairly easily, but will take setup. A hardware investment is required.
I will post something tomorrow.

THANKS!
-
But as @JaredBusch said, they will save so much per month that the expense to do this right might not be so bad.
-
The hardware is no problem! We can spend whatever is needed to get the job done on a enterprise level
