What Are You Doing Right Now

Sitting in a pool of sweat in my chair wishing they'd set the A/C to "I want to make an igloo indoors"

Tough life up there in the Canadian heat.

@scottalanmiller el nino makes for a brutal summer, hit 32c (~90f) here.
Form an orderly queue on the right for "that's not hot!" whilst I regale you with tales of life in a rain forest.

Welcome back. You missed quite a day.
Yes,.. it has been. I'll be spending a few hours tonight catching up and doing some paper work. Get it in whilst it is still fresh in the mind and before the Hard Cider has a chance to wash it off the board.

I didn't think it would get that warm there. However - I suppose if you are not accustom to it, that is excessive. Was just a bit from the border yesterday and today (Detroit),.. but would have run into Gandalf if I had gotten to close.

@MattSpeller 32C in Canada!? Wow, don't fart in the forest.
EDIT: Reference...

37c here at 9am yesterday, climbed to 40c!!
32c would be a nice, cool day. That's probably what it is right now and it's very comfortable.

Coffee on the balcony, getting caught up and ready to hit it today.

Played through the first chapter of Moebius: Empire Rising by Jane Jensen before going to bed last night. Really well done game and the score rocks. And I was surprised to learn that that is the author / designer's husband who did the scoring!

Public Service Announcement: Soon to come: New and improved hearing for those of us who simply can't!
My insurance finally approved a cochlear implant for me. Surgery is going to be some time in September... I shall be among the hearing folks again... <insert maniacal laugh here>

Wow that is really cool. Good luck with this. Do you think the sound will be overwhelming at first?
-
@coliver Quite a bit, yes. Pops (who also has an implant) says that I will have a constant headache for the first month after we turn it on, lol. Fortunately, I know somebody who already has one (Pop's unit is ~29 years old as of this month!)... so I know a little bit of what to expect.
But I will be hearing things that I haven't heard in 20 years... (Beeping watch alarms, Beeping UPSes, Fire alarms, cats meowing, doorbells, birds, crickets, other buzzing insects, and the list goes on, lol)... So while I will have a constant headache, I will also be nagging everybody around me: What is THAT sound? lol.
