IT Service Provider Marketing...the wrong way.
-
Saw a comment from someone with the IT Service Provider tag on Spiceworks.
Click on the profile.
Then made the mistake of clicking the website
This has got to be one of the best trolls I have ever seen, I hope it's not serious.
-
You should link the original SW thread too, the commentary is the best part.

We need Nathan the Notebook to make an appearance.

STOP IT! MY EYES!

It is amazing that he is "their" mascot yet they are unable to get a good original image of him. Clearly they lifted this from somewhere like twenty years ago.
-
Really, the site was free? You don't say? Not only is the site free, but the .TK domain TLD is the freebie one which means they aren't even paying for basic registration either.
Here is the entire front page so that it doesn't go away later. It is important that people understand that this is a CURRENT website that the guy is on SW currently promoting!!
-
You can't make this stuff up...
-
And why the FFFFFF is this part of the page??
-
I'm not even clear what it means. Obviously someone without a name sells snow cones, I think, at.... um... public events? Like in what country? The website is a New Zealand domain. I can't find any address, location or suggestion other than the fact that the site is not written by an English speaker to suggest where it might be actually located.
-
It just gets worse and worse...
-
The "Services" link doesn't go anywhere at all. Apparently they don't offer any.
-
They don't even have an email address. They have some insane address at Gmail that doesn't even look like a business Gmail address.

From reviewing this guy's posts on SW, I'm pretty sure he is 100% serious, and that is really his website. I have detected no hint of irony. He added a bunch of BS certs over the weekend also.

didn't we talk about this last week?

That seems to be the consensus. He never responded to that long thread talking about his recklessness, though.
He started off and got noticed because he recommended NTFS instead of RAID for a critical database. Beyond being totally reckless and nonsensical, it is impossible to be sure what he even means.
