      After several years in the 3Z datacenter on Front St. in Toronto, we got back a DL385 G7 and it looked like it had never been used, clean as the day it was first turned on....

                Mobo died. We were so impressed with the condition of the server after 4+ years of non-stop running that we took pictures to show how clean it was before we did the mobo replacement.

                  Any chance they used some kind of spray on / alcohol cleaner? That is crazy!

                    If you clean the air going into the DC then you have very clean components. We do this and the gear looks almost new.

                      No, @Minion-Queen was standing there when it was deracked. They had no chance to go into the chassis.

                        EVERYTHING in there was super clean. There was no dusty anywhere at all.
