Feel free to compile one. The platform doesn't have robust reporting.
-
@scottalanmiller Write a PHP + SQL script? (or something in Node.js) to pull the data ?
-
Feel like making that a project?
-
SQL won't help since there is no relational database.
-
@scottalanmiller What's the DB backend for this site? Mongo?
How are you going about pulling those numbers now?

Yes, MongoDB. The numbers are pulled by the limited reporting functionality of the NodeBB platform.

Should be noted too, there is a platform logging issue and once in a while we lose a day or two of stats. It's not a huge number, but our month could be as much as 5% higher than it shows there. Can't wait for the new platform updates to arrive, looks like we have some really cool stuff coming but I am not expecting that stuff until at least the end of June, and that's being aggressive. So don't look for big updates for a while, but watching the beta work looks very encouraging.

Didn't we just update today? I got a notice of one and the pages are loading better for me now.

Unless the notice was lying, I'd say yes there was an update

That message is misleading. It just means that the platform restarted. We did a manual restart to get the stats back. The client just recognizes that the platform restarted and gives that incorrect message

Yes, it's lies. We've complained about that before.

It lied.

Lying software, good god, it's almost like skynet. Maybe shut this thing down before it becomes too intelligent @scottalanmiller?

well the restart fixed the issue I was having with needing to load pages multiple times, to get it to fully load.

Well that is good to know. There was definitely something wrong.

So how come we don't hear about updates anymore?
Or haven't there been any to speak of? -

Or haven't there been any to speak of?Nope, none in like forever. The 0.7 branch is taking a long time to get ready for production. But the changes are significant, it looks like. I am not following too closely as we don't care too much about beta testing. We have been on 0.6.1 for a long time now.

Sounds like they need to tighten up the release cycles, you can't get so different that upgrades become more difficult, otherwise it gets longer and longer.
-
Yeah, 0.7.0 looks to be a big leap.
