Ah yeah,
I didn't even catch that... Of course, running from CAC, I'd just upload the files directly to it...
The problem is CloudatCost doesn't give you a ton of storage. I've got terabytes of data to connect to mine, so I just map a share to the server and connect it that way.
Yeah... I just don't have a good upload speed from my house, lol... I also don't really have that much in videos to upload, I don't think....
Now that I think about it, I need to get my CAC box set up with VPN into my home network... That is another topic though. 8-)

Pertino. Setup a jump box on your local network, map the drives to it, create a SAMBA share of those shares and map it over the VPN.

I'll have to check out Pertino... Just out of curiosity, do you know if it does site to site VPNs?

Nope, it's a total mesh layout. We've talked to them about creating a gateway device that allows you to see everything behind it, like you can in a site-to-site. They haven't released it yet.
-
Maybe they will release it in software in the near future. I'd expect that feature to be part of their paid plan, for sure, but still.... Would be nice to have!

Agreed!

I doubt it would be a gateway device. It wouldn't make as much financial sense for them. If they do it it will probably be a Virtual Gateway appliance that you run on your VM Host.

Oh, not talking a physical device. Definitely something software driven.

It does not and likely never will. Pertino is a full mesh, software defined networking product. If they did site to site it would undermine the value of their product and make it unable to do the things that it does. It's very powerful but would get insanely complicated and crippled trying to do site to site. It's a blessing and a curse.

Don't expect it. They might decide to release that, but likely they won't and they have very good technical and marketing reasons for it. If you really think about what the product is and does, it only truly works as a mesh. Site to site can easily be done by other products. What Pertino does is special and is lost when doing site to site.
Site to site also breaks their pricing model and would require completely different licensing to work.
