OK I now have two T22P, they are both registered, yet I can't call between them.

Have you looked at the asterisk console when trying to make the call? It generally has some verbose logging.

        Some is an understatement!

I see this in the asterisk info tab
        asterisk-3.JPG

        OK why are they unavailable?

He is doing this on Cloud@Cost, which doesn't allow custom ISOs to be uploaded.

          Exactly.

I realize that. That is why I stated I understand the issues he had during install. But setting up a phone is beyond that now.

Interesting. I haven't played with PJSIP before. Can you try making a Chan SIP extension and register with that?

Well the original phone problem was that I wasn't applying the new extensions I created by clicking the Red Button - (don't press the red button).

But now that I know this... that problem is solved.. and connecting phone is going easy.

Where do I need open ports? The FreePBX box currently had iptables and selinux disabled. Do I need to open ports on my end to make this work?

That means that all of your ports are open.

Yeah, that should mean you are wide open.

LOL - yes I know all my ports are showing from the FreePBX system right now... I'm simply wanting to get it working before I lock it down...

and I'll be happy to scrap this whole thing again and follow my own instructions from the other thread. 🙂

when trying to dial another phone on the same switch, do I need to do anything more than just dial their extension?

Alright - it appears that my Sonicwall is doing some sort of blocking locally.

When I put my PC to a different network with the Zoiper softphone, now I see.

                            asterisk-3a.JPG

And a successful call from the inside to the softphone...

I think you need to unblock 5060 and 5061 UDP locally. You may also need to unblock some RTP ports I don't remember what those ones are though.

Oh SonicWall, the bane of VoIP. I would never run those for anything. Total garbage. They mess with your traffic and break things. Completely worthless. Worst firewall I know to find while doing VoIP work.

What would you replace them with?

                                    OK then

A simple change to the Sonicwall fixed that problem, just enable consistent NAT under VOIP.

Netgear ProSafe is better! Although I wouldn't use those anymore. Ubiquiti owns the low end space. Such high quality, such low price.

Pretty much if you need UTM Sophos for most people and Palo Alto on the high end. If you don't need a full UTM, Ubiquiti. At some scale you need to look at Juniper, Brocade or Cisco type gear, but that scale is HUGE.

                                        We are consolidating from 5 locations (65, 4, 4, 4, 3) to three locations (70, 7, 3)

Time to start looking at Edgerouters.

Do they support dual WAN links with failover?
