Update for Windows 7 and 8.1 silently installs Windows 10 downloader

Each version of Windows is an evolution into more complex licensing, at least 10x as much bloat as the last version, and tons of features most people won't ever use.
I just can't stop thinking about all those people who want Windows XP to be supported forever.

I would love to continue using Windows XP!

Not yet available on my machine. Possibly because it does not match my WSUS criteria

I say this with my cutlass (ruler) and trusty parrot (Spicerex) sitting on my desk.

(EDIT for Microsoft's benefit: We pay for our copies of Windows here) -
Wonder if this is blocked on Enterprise edition. But, yeah I generally don't push out recommended updates with WSUS unless they are needed.

Looking forward toupgrading all my clients.

Me too. I don't like 8.1 and I'm bored with 7. I need 10!

In the Technical Preview the Startmenu search randomly stop/starts working at times.
I also get problems sometimes going to the properties of NICs. It will say "An unexpected error has occurred" The only fix for it is to uninstall via the device manager and scan for new hardware and then it works again for some time.
And lastly the my DVD drives come up with a Error Code 19 in Device Manager and don't show on my computer unless I uninstall them in Device manager and scan for new hardware each time I reboot.

The bugs have gone unfixed for a good while. And the testing ends next week.

People sure like voting down my posts without explaining why they disagree, great way to not stick by your convictions. If you disagree, say something, don't be a wuss.
