My wife always got Legos without instructions. It wasn't until she met me that she found out that the more expensive kits came with instructions.

They all come with instructions. The more expensive ones just tend to be a little better, as it's more necessary as they are more complicated.

Nope, they don't. I used to think that too. We've bought kits of the kids recently that don't come with any. It used to be more common, but they still exist.

EVERY LEGO set I ever bought came with instructions, and they ranged from everything from $5-10 sets to $50+ sets. Never seen one without one. Now, if you buy the big tubs of generic LEGOs, no instructions. However, every KIT has instructions that I've ever seen. Then again, it's been about a decade since I bought my last set...

Interesting question - I think I would probably write the company about getting the instructions, but at the same time assuming there are pictures on the box I'd try to figure it out myself.

Baring that, I'd just build whatever came to mind at the time.

I probably would answer the same way. I would try to emulate what is on the front of the box to the best of my ability. If there was no picture... I would probably try and build a space ship.

We always bought the ones without instructions growing up. It was the huge tub of random pieces.

And those don't have instructions. But all kits do.

I'd love to have that question, that's the best interview question EVER! That's why IT people....i.e. creative souls answer questions like that so much better. I would totally say I'd sit in the floor for hours and build things.

Same. Lego's and k'nex were my favorite. Lincoln logs were to restrictive for me.

Try and build based off the picture on the box.

Of course there is also this option:
                                        http://service.lego.com/en-us/buildinginstructions/

But, why when you can write angry letters to the company that will get filed in file 13

LEGO is awesome! I used to call them as a kid whenever I was missing a part from a kit and they'd send it to me with no fuss. I loved it!
