@thecreativeone91 That correct. Is the online installer better? I always get the full installers.

The main thing lacking from this version is AD integration which works great for new installs and updating the client program. But that's in the version that are already giving away to others. also looks like no Password protection on the AV client either.

If you are saving it you'll wan't the full. If it's just for one install there's no reason not to use the online.

            Reboot is required after installation.

It wasn't on my windows 8.1 when I just did it. But, I know when you push it out as a slient installer you can set it to not force a reboot.

I am on Windows 8.1 too. It asked me to about 10 minutes after I installed it.

Hmm. Might hasn't but I know the sheilds don't full activate on pretty much any AV until a restart.

Right, I know. I wasn't complaining, just saying.

Darn. Something doesn't like my system with avast. I restarted and then it locks up and BSODs.

I'm a little surprised that Avast! hadn't included their mobile device AV in here as well...just a rambling thought....but, heck, free AV for servers? It's hard to argue with that.

This is great! Setup an account and installed on one machine, and some of the sites are not opening when the web shield is on. I thought its because my account was not validated through email, did that, but same issue. Its intermittent, anyone faced this?

@Ambarishrh I usually Disable the Mail and Web shield and only use the File Shield with Avast. The other shields have had issues for me.

@thecreativeone91 Any specific reasons for disabling the shields?

I've had the mail shield remove people attachments that aren't viruses. as well as sometimes add Avast Enterprise text on the bottom of some emails so It was disabled. The Web shield likes prompting you to install plugins in all browsers which obviously isn't something I really wanted in the environment.

That makes sense. For me, I am testing this on my home mac, and I would like to keep the web shield on, but not able to browse when it is on. Opened a ticket on Avast, lets wait for their feedback.
