HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Mini
-
That would be great for you!
-
-
@minion-queen so can he expense one?
-
Maybe at some point if I am feeling generous. We have been purchasing new machines for team members as of late, Scott is on the list just a ways down.
-
I know size shouldn't matter.. but I have to say the price on these smaller boxes seem higher than they should be - I know Scott will probably say something like - it takes a lot more engineering to ensure the cooling/power/etc are all correctly designed in a unit this small.
LOL -
and, people will pay it.
-
This is also an Elite machine with the higher support level.

The PDF did say it had the support bundled in. That is not normal and has to be added for standard build machines.

There is a lot if "hidden" value in Elite units.

I've been buying Elite desktops for a while now and I do see that by default they come with 3 years and the support personal don't ask questions when you seem to know what you are talking about - they simply send you parts or dispatch a tech.
-
@Dashrender I can't argue that.
This is what we rolled out last fall at the client I am at today.
-
Those look familiar, we rolled out about 10 last year too. and now i'm about to roll out the new 800 G1s

Yes. You pay a little extra but they assume you are an IT department rather than an end user.

Yes. They just send the part with no questions asked.
-
Yeah. Doesn't get much better than that.

I have asked for a powersupply before and really needed a motherboard. They have never given me any problems even if I misdiagnose something.

Half a decade later, we are just now starting to purchase the latest iteration of this unit for a customer. We are rolling them out as a standard desktop.
The ones that we are getting now are AMD procs, which I like. And the price is fantastic at around $650. Still has vPro.

Are you getting the ones with discrete graphics?

No, integrated.

I don't see any AMD options for the HP EliteDesk Desktop 800 G4 mini on HP website.
