I still need to book flight and hotel, which I'm holding off due to current events. If the powers at be know the physical conference isn't going to happen, I'd like to know, too 🙂

Safe to assume it will be not happening in person. Dallas is a huge metro that isn't going to be healthy anytime soon. That's only weeks away. Los Angeles has already announced that they will still be under lockdown at that time.

Figured as much 😞 But on the bright side, I save travel costs 🙂

I'm glad someone asked this. I was about to ask the same.

We're under a week away. Has a plan been determined, such as video conference sessions, or is the plan to just try again next year?

I ask because I'm taking PTO for the Red Had Summit stuff, so I can actually pay attention and enjoy the content rather than being distracted by work. I'd like to do the same for MangoCon, but I can't ask for PTO the day before 🙂

@pchiodo is going to post in the morning the details. Obviously we are still under lockdown here, so no one is traveling here. Texas might be open, but Dallas County is not. We've spoken to the venue and we have a postponement at this point without a date. Paul will give all the details tomorrow.

Excellent. I look forward to seeing the plan.

About time to start discussing that. We fully own the hotel here now, so we are in a much better position to do planning.

I have a few leftover days of vacation - depending on timing - I might come out there!
