Our platform, NodeBB, is looking to integrate MongoDB 3.0 support around March. MongoDB 3.0 promises to reduce our total file sizes and improve performance significantly. This is pretty awesome as it should allow us to scale up dramatically without needing to make any changes in architecture. We are very excited about the update.

Only one month before Ubuntu 15.04 is set to release which is supposed to provide us some speed increases as well. There is nothing better than major software improvements over time. It is wonderful to see the same hardware just going faster and faster.

Sucks that we will not have a chance to get MongoDB 3 ahead of Friday's event. Would have been awesome to put it through its paces.
