So this conversation is kind of a piggy-back conversation to my Unifi Point to Point topic.

If you guys wanted to blanket an area with wireless with the goal of getting Wireless to an outbuilding that ~ 300 feet away but with trees (and building walls) in the way, would you use the AirFiber60 to just send the signal to the general area?

The horrible drawing below kind of details the goal. I have service in the blue "building" currently, and I'd like to get wireless into the Grey out building. It's not a particularly far distance.

I've got a few constraints, ideally appearances having P2P equipment hang on the buildings is very likely a no-go (which means potentially running fiber between the buildings underground).

if I were to put a airFiber60 on the roof of the blue building and point it at the gray building would that work?

      Looking for ideas

Have you tried putting the details into Unifi Link? https://link.ui.com/#
It should help design your network along with recommendations on the devices to use.

@DustinB3403 From my experience, you need a clear path of ~15 feet to get a good signal even at just 300'. That's for the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, I don't know how the physics change for the public 60GHz bands.

You cave couple of options. One, can you put a pole on gray building that would be taller than trees and mount antenna or AP on it? That would give you clear line of sight to blue building. 2nd option is amplifiers, but this gets into legal gray area quickly. You'd need to check local laws regarding power of radio transmissions. Amplifiers of about 1.5W would allow you to send radio through all these trees. And amplifiers force you to use more complex setup, as they get installed between AP and antenna, so all-in-one devices are out.
Airfiber is an option, but it's crazy expensive, and I think it needs clear line of sight anyway.

@DustinB3403 thank you for your information. I have friend with similar issue with wifi at his house. This information will come in handy.

How did you make out using Link? I haven't used it for a short PtP but have used its suggestions for several KM links.

I mean the distances are so short that the tool doesn't make a lot of sense, but it proves what I thought.
