Unsolved File Sharing Issue Windows 7

Looks like it's missing the "Server" service...
-
looks like we got Server installed as a service again, Ran Malwarebytes and Virus Scans done.
Still no sharing, and it wont stay on. -
Well it's not a server OS and it's ancient. What is being served off of this box that couldn't be done with Linux while still being supported?

That would definitely do it.

Easiest thing is a fresh install, if they refuse to leave Win 7 behind.

It's for Aloha which has to be Windows.

The hardest part of fixing issues for you guys is figuring out which solutions you are allowed to do and which things you are not.
I mean... once the obvious solutions are banned, why isn't the answer just "tell the customer we refuse to support them"?
Just list the solutions you are allowed to do and we'll tell you which one we recommend most

Sounds like you need an end to end list of what you will and won't do as part of your "service agreement" and you need to make your customers plainly aware of those things.

So... "fix customer problem?"... "We don't normally do that."
Just leave it broken, seems like that's the expectation

Not for hospitality industry. But this is our first foray into POS and crossing over industries in the future is obviously very possible.

You guys should look into making pharmacy software, you could likely make a killing, and be light years ahead of the seemingly junk crap that's out there now.

That's a great idea. And my family is all pharmacists, so we have like endless direct access to resources.

I really don't know the requirements for the interconnectedness - which this are... but yeah, so many of the systems are just old as F.
