        Today I learned not to cock up the DNS server during business hours, and also the importance of having a 2nd DC/DNS in the event of such cockery.

                                      Hosed the VM. A secondary one would have kicked in faster than I got it fixed. Also, if it was bare metal, it would have taken 1 reboot's time to fix.

                                            Failed after an update? I’d double check SELinux if an update reset something are using Fedora or CentOS.
