    Can you use fetchmail with a proxy?

      I moved a fetchmail job from one server to another. When I manually run it it fails. I just want to test it and we have multiple proxies my company uses for this but I don't see any reference to proxies in the fetchmail configs or anything. Google-fu didn't come up with anything

          You wouldn't. Fetchmail would not be aware that there is a proxy. It would simply point to the correct proxy that represents the point of presence. We all use mail proxies every day, we just don't think about it because we only point to the last proxy in the line. All mail systems work with proxies, they have to.

          There is nothing to Google, hence the problem. You won't find anything.

          Whoever designed your email system should have told you what POP/IMAP proxy is the one that you point to. That's really all you need to know.
