@scottalanmiller Perfect! Except for those prices! Ugh! Might be our only option.
Works really well, at least
We pair it with Skyetel around here.
-
Is it really that expensive? Even at $199.99/month that doesn't sound unrealistic compared to the cost of having to pay someone to do this by hand.

Textable IS for someone doing it by hand!

Oh! Maybe I am looking at the wrong Textable, I didn't see where you can use your own sip provider.

Right - I'm confused what Scott means by pairing it with Skyetel? to what end? The prices on Textable all say include 1 number or more

Well, this is depressing. You'd think they'd at least give me a list of non saturated area codes to choose from!
-
If doing manually, first have the "admin" use this website to determine the email to SMS address for the cell phone number in question:
https://freesmsgateway.infoThen compose an email using the above info.

Don't want e-mail. Want SMS.
-
Ahhhh!!!!!! This may work! Just need to see if you can send to a phone number without creating a contact first.

In that case - Assuming all of your customers are on carriers that have an email to SMS gateway - you can do this completely free through email.
Now to discover that, you'll have to do some work - find what carriers are in use by your customers, then check for a gateway... that could be time consuming.. but hey - could really pay off with a free solution.
