This would circumvent the EULA, no?

Not if the machine has a valid activation and you just want the media to reinstall or something. Do not mix upgrade with install.
-
@JaredBusch I'm pretty certain the EULA says a "current version of windows 10". Meaning any medium that is intentionally old would no longer be a valid installation medium.
-
Since Dustin is asking - no where in the EULA when we were talking about it in the past do I recall seeing any version listed... which is where you and Scott are saying that the EULA basically still allows you to do free upgrades.
Beyond that - no clue if it talks about 'current' 'most current' etc..
-
You can use Heidoc for this. Use the Windows ISO Downloader and choose the old version of Windows. Simple and Easy.

Are you constantly looking over your shoulder for the dreaded Microsoft police? And can you say that 100% of the MS licensing at your job and home are totally legal and compliant to their EULA? I've literally never seen anyone so concerned with MS licensing.

At home I am 100% compliant, where I work is another story as I don't manage it here and thus don't care.

@RojoLoco much better.

The EULA of what, the website? MS is voluntarily giving you the download in this case.

Attempting to be compliant is never a bad thing. Sure, most places make mistakes somewhere. But mistakes being made isn't a reason to avoid attempting to do the right thing.

The EULA of the ISO, which I thought had some sort of verbiage stating it could only be used to install the most current Windows 10 at the time of use.
I could be mistaken, which is why I was asking.

If I download it from MS and install, and it works, as far as I'm concerned, it's compliant. All that legalese BS in the EULA can kiss the fattest part of my ass. It's good to attempt to be compliant, but worrying about it is a fool's game.

@IRJ total compliance with all laws is annoying. I, for one, will only obey the certain laws of man that I deem worthy and just.

So are DWI and DUI laws just, murder laws just?
We can really go down that rabbit hole if you want. . . but I'm drinking now and it might get messy or I'll just stop responding
