    RAID5 on SSD in 2019?

        I'm not sure which side this puts you on? pro or against SSD in RAID 5?

          Scott did some math around here a few years ago that showed SSD on RAID 5 was totally viable. What I don't know is what type of SSD were required? i.e. Enterprise class, prosumer, consumer?

            As long as this is for capacity this is viable, if this is for performance, you'll find that no hardware controller is likely to be able to handle that many SSDs at full speed.

              Pro, I was in response to you but didn't hit quote apparently. There is essentially zero URE chance with SSDs as far as the math shows for most drives.
