Jared - OBS

Because I'm attempting to have a public conversation with @JaredBusch on a piece of software, specifically OBS, that he settled on.
A private conversation regarding some other software you found useful has no relevance to the question and solution at hand.

Someone woke up cranky yesterday...

So this thread was supposed to be like a talk-show?

I downloaded OBS last week but now my camera has gone missing. Hoping to dive into it soon and make a useful video.

I don't know who you're paging, but sure.
The hope was to have an open conversation about OBS Studio with @JaredBusch to see how things were going with his project (at the time). Seems he doesn't want to respond. So whatever.

@Obsolesce what?
-
@DustinB3403 I'm actually really interested in the thought process here, in case it represents a cultural shift.
We pretty much have 'live' interviews on every other broadcast medium, except for text. With text, I can only think of a interview being done and then an article with the interview being posted later, unless it's something like an AMA where it is not a 1:1 interview.
-
@flaxking as far as was mentioned in the original topic with Jared he was looking for a solution to produce some internal videos - presumable for staff training etc.
But OBS Studio could be used for pretty much any sort of broadcasting / training production scenario you could think of.

I actually have it set up to so that our Admissions teams can review their interviews. What we have previously was using an damn security software which is outdated and not user friendly and pointless.

@black3dynamite So you record your interviewees and then go back and watch the film later if you wanted to remember what was said/how they act?

That's pretty much it. Admissions here is always to trying better themselves when they interview honored guests. And the Director of Admissions to see where the Admissions consultants needs to improve on.

And the interviewee agrees to be recorded?

Are we still using OBS as the go-to screen recording app on Linux?
