Ryuk ransomware at a client. They have DFS going to all locations, so looking like a full wipe and restore.

WTF, people are still getting that? There's been countless guides on preventing it, mostly for Windows Server too!

Preaching to the quire here my man. If it were up to me, we'd have all temp and internet cache locations set to not allow programs to run unless white listed. Probably would've saved an entire weekend worth of work for a whole bunch of us.

Also, running ancient versions of Windows Server as one of the AD controllers for some reason. 2008!

@EddieJennings I feel your pain this morning. Our primary 11x17 printer is down for service, so we have to temporarily print to our copier for that size. First thing this morning, our shop supervisor tries to print a drawing and it comes out blank. I print the same drawing using the same app and print settings, it comes out fine. Way too early in the morning for this nonsense...

Nice, I've heard of things like this happening, but only rumors.

Looks like the issue is from switching from one CSP Provider to another. We switched a few weeks ago and all licenses were moved. But looks like some were still "tagged (or what ever M$ call it)" to the old supplier so when they removed them as a supplier of ours all those licenses got removed causing the users to become unlicensed.

Par for the course. It feels like every account action for MS products results in some sort of bungling. What seems like it should be smooth and automated never seems to actually be.

thought I was out of coffee and started panicking when I remembered I had saved some in another jar. There was just enough for a strong cup!
