I have it but don't normally use Android except for testing. So just setup it up all the way. No you can't use take control. You can see what is going on but have to go to Chrome and access it like you would on your desktop to takecontrol and work on things.
Well for me it's totally useless. For some reason they think we would only want to use it on a phone. I put in the api and the server info and I can't get it to switch to the workstation tab, which means it's useless.

@Minion-Queen Also I logged into the dashboard using Chrome on my Android tablet. I clicked on TakeControl and it downloaded and nothing happen...Couldn't find a TakeControl App in the Play store.
-
I will try it again tomorrow.

their mobile support is lacking.. while it is kind of neat to be able to use your phone....i'd much rather my laptop and i dont go many places without it.
-
@Hubtech don't have one as I opted for the original AsusTransformer TF101 tablet and keyboard a few years back.

Ok tested again. From the Ipad but can't figure out how to install the little download. On the Android, I have a Samsung Tab4, I can't get the stupid download to even start. I will figure this out!

@Minion-Queen thanks for the assist!

I am guessing that for mobile devices to launch TakeControl I would need a Surfaces tablet or a laptop.
I can't even get the damn phone app (on my tablet) to show any of the workstations.

Yes I have tried to do this with a normal tablet but it just doesn't work at all. Surface is fine (obviously). GFI is great in some ways but still sadly lacking in others.
-
@Minion-Queen However for the price, I can live with the cons.
-
EXACTLY!
-
So should I add to the title solved/waiting for GFI update?
-
Yes I would say so. For now.
