I see a $10-15k difference between 2019 and 2015 and 2014. That's a huge amount. That's more than I paid brand new for my daily driver lol.

CarMax offered me $1,500 for my 2005 Camry, so I imagine 2007 should be ok.

CarMax offered me $1,500 for my 2005 Camry, so I imagine 2007 should be ok.
Wow ok. I thought there was a 10 year limit or something. Maybe that's a local thing

Definitely don't trade it in. You'll get ripped off. You're almost always better off selling it privately (here in MI, anyway). Unless, of course, your car is worth less than like $2000 and the dealer is offering $2000 guaranteed... I doubt that's the case though.

I'm with ya on this one. I like to purchase a 1 year off lease from one owner if I can find it. Those are the best deals going. The trick is to find one with 15K miles or less. Do that, you get 30% of list, the balance of the warranty and no need for repairs for two years. Good value at that price

For me, there was a repair that needed to be done to my 2005 camry that would've either just frightened buyers away, or would make the car worth about $1500. I ended up trading it to my dealer rather than CarMax. Doing the math, doing so cost me $9 over the next 5 years. So for $9, it was worth the convenience of leaving my old car at the dealer and driving new car home.
Otherwise, I would've definitely looked at doing a private sale for mine.

A few years ago a dealer offered me $2000 for my 2005 Saab 9-3, I ended up selling it to a desperate family member for $2500, I could have sold it privately for about $4000. It's a pain in the ass to sell, and you have to deal with a lot of window shoppers, but if it doesn't cost you anything to sit on it for a few months, you can come out a couple thousand dollars ahead.

Yeah, it is definitely worth more than that and I know trade-in is lower. I just hate the hassle of having to deal with flakes and jackasses that aren't serious and just want to joy ride. Where I am from, it is easier to say who isn't a flake than who is.
We'll see.

We've made out well twice on trade ins. They were older vehicles with serious mechanical issues. We took advantage of Chrysler's loyalty program and they offered double trade in value since it was a Mopar product. We got $3k for a vehicle with 220k miles and a blown head gasket.
Trade ins are only good for junkers or in occasion special deals offered by dealer.

Power, handling, feel. It's an extremely serious vehicle.

Driving a WRX is seriously one of the most fun things I've done. It's got an amazing amount of power for the price. And handling under acceleration is just awesome. It's a ton of fun to ride along with someone racing one too.

Two cars ago, I was looking for nice car for my wife. I found a '98 Acura 3.0 CL. What I didn't realize, was that I was really buying my 'midlife crisis'. Too much power, runs on the back roads like it has DNA for it. Few things feel as nice as a hot car.
