I found one of those last week. We shut it down. Sadly it won't go away till that company moves into new offices.

Not sure when this will go away. Deals with patient monitoring. I do know that I’m far to low on the totem pole to affect change though.

using arp -s xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx nn-nn-nn-nn-nn

Where xxx is the IP Address and nnis the MAC address.

For some reason it's not working.

For some devices, you'll need to ping with a specific packet size or attempt to telnet on a specific port to bind/activate the address. Consult the docs. Change is the only constant.
