Server Startup

In theory we could hook up a serial cable and see if that has output. Got a laptop with a serial connector?
-
That thing has been shipped around a bit. Could easily be loose memory.
-
I think it only does that if it's got an iLO.

Is the monitor plugged into a serial port?
That would be a feat. Serial is 9 pins, VGA is 15.
Yup. That and serial connectors are typically female while VGA is typically male. Wait, that would mean...never mind. Not going down that rabbit hole...

Otherwise, I present this:

@Mike-Ralston When I saw this "Server Startup" I hope that you are just playing with this server.
I always get Nervous whenever I saw Server Start up -
It's a lab unit, but intended for production. Something is sadly, quite wrong with it.
-
@scottalanmiller I hope things will get better soon

Worst case scenario, we buy another one. But that would be sad.
-
@scottalanmiller I hope everything goes fine now

So uh, turns out that of the massive stack of servers, the one with the black front is not also the one with the black chassis. One of the simplest mistakes one could make, plugged all the inputs and outputs into the wrong IO. Server is running fine now, thanks guys!

This is where front and rear labeling become critical.

LOL. Black front is a Proliant. The black back must have been the Integrity?

@scottalanmiller I believe so. @psx_defector The bit about holding the insert button to reset the config actually just came in handy. I encountered an error with the OpenSuse installation the first time around.

Another machine that @DustinB3403 ended up with!
