Some of you might be aware that NTG closed its physical offices in New York. What you may not know is that the equipment from those offices has not yet moved elsewhere. Well, it is now. The moving truck is on its way from Lakeville and we are starting to get the boxes ready. We are just now discovering what all is out there. We'd been through a few items already and a couple of phones had already been re-deployed. But other than a stray Yealink T22P or whatever, it's basically all still there.

So I am making a thread here because this is mind blowing and hilarious just how much stuff one NTG office has not just accumulated, but kept. Some of it is just cool history of the company with at least one piece of gear remaining from the 1990s (a Netgear eight port hub that we are keeping.)

We are just amazing but how much we continue to find as we go through things. Before the truck has even arrived, we have found two bins of phones that we knew nothing about, a full Digium Switchvox phone system, even a brand new still in box Dell X4012 10GigE switch!!

Some quick numbers, it is something like nine servers, fourteen desktops, two SAN, one NAS, three laptops, and more that we keep finding. It's crazy.

Some of this equipment is moving to Texas. A lot of it is not. If you want anything, speak up. If you want to come help move things, come on down to Pavilion! We are doing this all day and need help. There is a lot of free stuff to take home!

We are keeping the stacks of desks, filing cabinets and other furniture. Including the nearly brand new server rack! But the majority is free to a good (or even an abusive) home!

Yes, those are the first of the genuine Sun SunFire servers, V240s. Very nice gear. Got some V100s to get pictures of yet.

And yes, that is an HP Integrity server with dual Itanium 2 procs!

I could use a nas for sure, checking with the SO.

I could take those sun systems and that nas you mentioned.

Send me your address, I'll bring the SO and my daughter on a short trip.

If you aren't taking that switch I could take that too.

The NAS we have to keep, at least the one that I see. But there is a SAM-SD that I'd prefer if you took (because we can't keep it but it's the original and I don't want to see it disappear.)

                                      The Drobo is going, though!

The switches in the pictures are going, the Dell not in the pictures is staying.

Phones, ioSafe, Dell switch are things we know are staying. But a LOT is going.

Stage one is done, the garage storage has been emptied. Now for the stuff in the house before we hit the big storage stuff.
