We have 3 vehicles on campus that can be used by faculty/staff for school related events. I would like to make a shared calendar so that people can check out availability but I would like them to be able to book on their own if it is available but then the President and VP can overrule anyone else.

I thought about an equipment calendar but it wasn't working the way I thought it should. Of course, with all the crap I am doing I might not have spent enough time troubleshooting.

Does anyone else have something similar to this? Am I not going about this the right way?

This is on Exchange 2016 and Outlook 2016

I deleted it 🙂 so it isn't working.

What I want is all Faculty and Staff to be able to see the vehicles, book if available, and only the Pres and VP to be able to kick people off their booked appointment if they need the vehicle.

What I don't want is to manage or have someone else manage the calendar at all, if possible.

This is a standard inventory management need.

Simply use something like Snipe with checkin/checkout functionality.

Why would I add something else into the mix when I have exchange which "should" handle this?

Something like this won't work because you don't want to have anyone managing it?

Then I would need someone to manage it? That would be OK if it has to be done as I can have the buildings and grounds manager handle the requests.

Here's another guide that was created. Looks pretty simple to set up.
