Going to have to wait a day or two for some packages to get updated it seems.

      sudo dnf -y upgrade --refresh
      sudo dnf -y install dnf-plugin-system-upgrade
      sudo dnf -y system-upgrade download --refresh --releasever=29
      sudo dnf -y system-upgrade reboot

Docker CE and ZFS on Linux repos are not updated for f29 either 😞

I haven't updated my salt controller server yet. Hopefully, there are no compatibility issues with it.

same packages on my desktop with a problem (not a surprise).

Yeah, had to remove Remmina myself.

                  libplacebo is a vlc dependency.

So just the two things causing me issues. I don't use VLC often so I can nuke that.

I use Remmina almost daily though.

Remmina is still there. You just have to uninstall and install again when done.

Interesting. My laptop has been running a while as I already removed them. So I'll report back once it is done.

Good time to start using flatpak apps.

I upgrade my Fedora after 2-3 months from the official release. By then everything is smooth and if I go the extra purist mile and reinstall only keeping $HOME, I can use an already updated Fedy for the more common initial setup stuff

But by then, you are already half way through the development cycle of the next iteration. I could see maybe 1 to 2 months, but to me 3 is an eternity.

@NerdyDad Nope, by then I'm just starting my own 6 month upgrade cycle. Because in 3-4 months a new Fedora will come out, I'll wait 2-3 months again, and then upgrade. Like a clock 🙂
