Cinnamon integration, a lot more packages integrated. It's like Mint but with a Fedora base instead of Ubuntu.

My ROG desktop had a bunch of issues getting any linux to install... mine turned out to be an issue with the nouveau drivers and my Nvidia card.

But those have to be driver related issues. Are you guys saying you actually think that the drivers just aren't there for linux?

I had to disable the nouveau driver on boot, and do something else boot related (don't remember what exactly), then install nvidia proprietary drivers to get a linux distro to finally install.

So happy right now! I finally was able to get Linux something running 100% on my ROG!

It's so snappy now!

I haven't tested any games yet to verify if GPU is completely functional, but glxgears worked.

Here's what worked:

Fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04.
At logon screen, CTRL+ALT+F2.
Login.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nvidia-390
reboot

Working.

I don't have the time right now to download and install a Steam game or get a Windows game working, but I did install Minecraft and at one point got over 600 FPS in full-screen mode.

I don't know if the Intel GPU is capable of that or not, but I'm thinking it's the nVidia. How can I tell?

I'll have to compare it to Windows tomorrow.
