Got a call about supporting a 1993 RS/6000 360 today. That's going to be rough. Just finding parts is nearly impossible.
You should just price yourself out of the job, lol. If they're still willing to pay for it, then... consider it, lol.

I think I could find any parts you need... I think I have a spare Drive caddy here (full of Thermite and magnesium).

Finally getting around to upgrading the base Ubuntu on my home lab box... still not happy about running that as a base.
What application are using that requires Ubuntu?
No application, it was just the OS that had the latest version offered at the hosting company I rent the server from. Every single OS offered is so old it's laughable, and no custom iso installer is possible. Just one of a number of reasons a business should never use them.

About to watch the corporate office ping-pong finals. One of our DBAs vs. some other person in the company
Come on DBA! You can win!
He did. 2 straight (2 out of 3)

My guess is that the total project is six figures. It's their enterprise ERP platform.

I'm sure you could find some inspiration for fixing it from Uncle Rob's YouTube channel.

Heading home

@jaredbusch I would say "safe travels," but you're posting to ML while driving :P.

I've SCWD which isn't as hard.
Oh, snap chatted while driving. Down here they tell us it's illegal to text and drive, they don't say anything about snap chatting.
