Just watched a user used the touch screen on their laptop while in Desktop mode instead of using the touchpad. I so wanted to scream "This is SPARTA" and kick the user and laptop.
https://media.giphy.com/media/mxQUQbIjXMSwo/giphy.giflol,.. My laptop is a touch screen,.. so when I was using my brothers the other week,... I tapped the screen like 3 times... we both laughed about it.

@wrcombs Sounds like you need a better place to work if management lets users do that to IT
-

the best part? i just finished with that site and my fix resolved the issue, They did like that it took a day to get to them, and that they moved equipment around with out notfiying us. OH and A 12 person email thread died today as well, That was great.

@rojoloco ON a Wednesday?
That was my thought too... But it's a tiered rollout, and we have like 12 employees.
-
@wrcombs dang that sucks
-
@wrcombs - But you have a call logged for the hour that you were on the phone with them. Easy to prove.

Finally beginning the great OS migration to Windows 10 for everybody. Stay tuned for my nervous breakdown.
Have fun with that!
-
Would be nice if Skype of Business could handle sharing code snippets like Slack or Discord can.

Nice work. Showing them up with professionalism is better for you than stooping to their level.

I'm about 99% sure that after almost 30 years of supporting end users, I just have no more patience left. I find myself almost immediately going for my sidearm instead of a deep breath and friendly demeanor.
The other day I had an end user ............ . . . . . .. ... . . .... . .. . I can't talk about. That night I drank too much.

Very much understand... I started in IT in 1990,.. but had already been working with computers for a few years...
Seen some crazy stupid things,.. and dealt with some of the densest end users,.. Best you can do is vent in a productive way, and move on... at least the best you can.

Target practice with said fire arm seems productive to me... and I do mean target practice, lol. I don't want to hear about @siringo in the news for shooting somebody.
