LVM Thin Provisioning for a KVM setup?
-
What advantage or disadvantage is there selecting LVM Thin Provisioning instead of LVM partition scheme?
https://www.ovirt.org/documentation/install-guide/chap-oVirt_Nodes/
When I select LVM Thin Provisioning and then choose to have Fedora automatically create the mounts points. Device type is set to LVM Thin Provisioning for/
but device type is set to LVM forswap
. Why wouldn't Fedora automatically set the device type for swap to LVM Thin Provisioning? -
What would it mean to thin provision a swap volume?

I'm not even sure why I thought it would make sense.

It's just thin provisioning, with all the benefits and pitfalls of any other type of thin provisioning. Why it would be required, I don't know.
