@i3 you can't go wrong with atlas, bogen, or toa from my experience. I have designed atlas and bogen systems that are still in place and working and that's been 15-20 years ago
If it was a good product 20 years ago, does that mean it still is by default?

What crawled up your ass lately? He gave three different options as all being good from his experience, and then additionally stated that he has experienced long lifespan with of those systems.
This is exactly the correct type of information that the OP needs.

You most certainly did call it out. Stating that because it was good 20 years ago that does not mean it is good today. But that is not what he stated.
He stated the 3 brands were good.
He then separately stated that 2 of those brands he has experienced long life from.None of that has anything to do with stating something was good 20 years ago means it is or is not good today.

I stated nothing. I asked a simple question...
He stated 3 brands he thought are great.
He backed up that statement as to why they are great due to a couple of them still being in place today after 20 years.I asked a question as to whether or not a product made 20 years ago defines a similar but different product is still just as good.
I don't know, maybe they still make that same exact product the same way as they did 20 years ago. Maybe it's even better now? But who knows if it's the same product that is needed today in that situation? I don't know.... I was asking... don't get so pissy.

Streaming for public listening gets into some interesting licensing territory. We ended up getting a specialized Pandora license at a company I worked at some years ago. I'll look to see if I can track it down again.

This is who we used: http://staging1.dmx.com/pandora/
I don't know if they're different, but this might be another: https://pandora.moodmedia.com/ -

Yeah, I wasn't even going to get into the legal broadcast solutions as he was only asking about hardware.

I don't know if they're different, but this might be another: https://pandora.moodmedia.com/I also use a Mood solution (but not that Pandora form Mood) at one client. Another client bought something that uses Pandora.

In a place I worked at in that past, also a special Pandora license. It was so long ago I don't remember from where.

Thank you very much for all the posts, very helpful. I will need to research more about the steaming service due to licensing territory.
