Surface Pro 3 won’t boot

So I booted it to USB and ran diskpart.
This seems to be bad.

Um, you realize I am in diskpart right? No matter why it has to see the disk. Nothing may be able to read it, but is has to show up.

Those are the best kind. I had hope of fixing the Surface I had for a spell. It did boot and run, but had terrible lad issues with the keyboard and pen. So, off to eBay it went.
I don't know the process to pull it down, but maybe you will be successful in replacing the drive and coming out ahead on the matter. If you get it apart, take a few photos, I'm curious how they are put together

I wonder how well Fedora or Ubuntu would run on a Surface. I think it's the hardware that is bad, mostly, though. But maybe it would fix some things as I think some are driver problems.

This was my plan with the surface I had - but was never able to get it to boot from USB. Between that and the lag issues,.. off it went. I have better things to waste my time on.

I gave this one to my 8yo to play Minecraft and Roblox. As well as watch YouTube. So it was not heavily used for anything.

Yes. I installed 1709 on it clean that way when I received it.

Managed to bring it back online. No idea why.
All it did was reboot after checking things from the win 10 iso..
