@art_of_shred I think I would try it as long as it wasn't raw/alive.

When we were in Africa we, well Mike and I tried, many bugs. The only raw ones (I didn't try it) were grubs. That was really gross. I had smoked termites and ate dried wings from the termites. Those were actually not bad. Crickets were crunchy but didn't taste bad. Smoked caterpillars were disgusting! I am sure there were other gross things but I can't think of them right now.

Nasty. I'm not eating bugs or spiders. In Africa, I ate zero bugs (on purpose). I know there were things in the bread and in the rice and in any pasta I had, but that is where I drew the line. grubs, termites caterpillars... NOPE.

Are spiders edible? Probably, I would guess. But that has to be nasty.

Probably, but add tomato sauce and it'll be tops 😄

Seriously? You can't tell me that tomato sauce is really appropriate here. This has to be a ranch or a garlic aioli situation.

Seriously? You can't tell me, that tomato sauce isn't appropriate. It may not be the most suitable on all occasions but I think it suits this occasion.

Habanero jam might go nicely too.

@Joyfano plenty of crickets here. But I can't imagine eating them. What kind of crickets do you have there? In upstate NY our crickets are tiny but in downstate NY and Texas they are enormous and scary looking with stripped legs. They almost look like giant, jumping spiders.

The last time I saw a spider, he was crawling on my desk. He was just a lil' guy. Talked with him for about 20 minutes then set him outside.

Definitely not a fan of spiders (though snakes don't bother me).

@FiyaFly post reminded me, the last time I saw one was a wolf spider on my desk about the size of a 1/2 dollar coin.. yeah.. that wasn't cool!

We live in a woods so spiders, normally very small ones, are just a regular fact of life.
