      So hardware issue is the only thing it can be. . .

      I would also try Ubuntu Live too.

            @black3dynamite Yeah, but I'm not sure how good the phone really is.

            Google Pixel 2, mixed results but about the same.

                  Wow, definitely something going on your computer, I assume this was on the wireless and not with 4G.

                        If I test on ookla i get decent speeds, but it definitely doesn't seem like I'm getting the speed I would expect. .

                          What WPA2 security mode are you using? Make sure it is AES not TKIP.

                          Also a known-good USB wireless adapter is handy to keep around for times like this.
