I can also say I know a few people who breed dogs,

That's not a puppy mill, so much better.

I"m sure the details are out there. If they can't get them from puppy mills, so I think they must get them from better means.

They have more than a few pairs of dogs, hence I'd call it "when working" a puppy mill. But the dogs live with the family etc.

I know a guy who has what i guess you guys would call a bird mill. He has around 50 pairs of birds that have babies that he sells.

I've been to the place, it's really clean, nice setup.

I'm guessing this law is for the slovenly, those who have their breeding pairs in horrible living conditions, and solely look at the animals as means to income.

But then again, look at chicken farms these days.. birds in small cages they can barely turn around in.. ug. 😞

Those are the egg producers. The chickens that end up as dinner are generally treated much better. Ask any farmer, if the animal isn't happy, it negatively effects their income. This assumes you can find someone who actually owns a farm and isn't working for a mega farming corp.

Just so happens that I do. I get my cow from him. I pay for calf, he raises it (I pay for those costs), then sends it to slaughter, then I pay the butcher.

Same goes for turkeys and chickens (both are free range on his farm).

Lucky man. I have an all organic farm that I buy what little meat I eat from.

Because I only want a little. I'm not so carnivorous as most people here.

I'm not sure this has a lot to do with Net Neutrality. But man... it's bad timing when the entire point of withdrawing the order was the push investment.

@coliver or that the rules were forcing investment and now that they are off the books that there is no reason...

It was only a matter of time before they found what really went on.
