Bout time for lunch.
I've only been here an hour lol (almost 9 am) but now I kinda wish it was lunch, I'm pretty hungry.
This is why I keep my desk stocked with crackers (and peanutbutter), Poptarts, and Ramen noodles.
I have coffee and protein bars, but I'm not a huge fan of protein bars.
This is why you keep food you will actually eat around your desk, lol.
I should start doing that LOL. peanut butter sounds gooooood right now.

Ripped out half of the two to ten meter cables in our two patch racks today. Replaced them with 0,25cm cords (patchpanel, 48 port switch, patchpanel).

Lots of people say OCD but aren't referring to the medical condition. Real OCD isn't much like what people use it to mean. It's a medical term used very loosely in general practice. Much as people use schizophrenic to mean things that are very different than the actual condition.
Real OCD is a maniacal disorder.

Professional cabling, but it doesn't make sense for us. CAT 7 cables run into two patch racks and the old cabling was like... spaghetti. Ran from rack 1 (patch field) to rack 4 (switches). Just moved (or more precisely: bought new ) the switches to the first two racks. Now there are just 400 very short cables.

"Zwangsstörung". We're using the term in the same fashion.

My kid is OCD to the point of being crippled by it sometimes. Drives me nuts to have people throw the term around like it means nothing.

I am trying to figure out how to eat. I chipped a tooth and don't see dentist till Thursday. Pretty much can drink but not eat. So So So hungry. More egg drop soup for me tonight.

Beautiful, yes. But most of those are some kind of coax. The only networking cables in the picture are the blue ones at the very top.
